AI customer assistant for logistics and delivery: tracking, rescheduling and problems handled from your own systems
How a delivery business would configure Kav: parcel status, delivery rescheduling and problem reports from its tracking system, plus a numbers worksheet.
"Where is my parcel?" is one of the most repeated questions in any business that moves goods, and deliveries happen exactly when the call centre is closed.
What exists today, and what does not. No logistics connector is built. The examples below are the platform's own illustrations of an order card, a confirmed change and a list of pickup points, marked example data on the home page, applied to a delivery context. No delivery company is named.
What a recipient asks, and how it would work
- "Where is my parcel?" The status card comes from your tracking system, with Track and Report a problem beside it, the same pattern as the store's order card (sign in with the account you already have).
- "Can I move my delivery?" The assistant shows the change before it is made. It carries out only what the recipient confirmed, and never twice (confirmed before it runs).
- "Where can I collect it?" One card per pickup point; past four it becomes a swipeable rail (when a list is too long for a card).
- A problem, with the parcel attached. A damaged or missing parcel reaches an agent with the record already open (what a human agent inherits).
Where the money moves
The bold rows are the levers a delivery business leans on most. Rows describe the mechanism, not a live deployment.
| Lever | What Kav does here | What you measure |
|---|---|---|
| Fewer repeat contacts | Status and pickup-point questions are answered from the tracking and location systems. | "Where is my parcel" contacts per 1,000 parcels. |
| Faster when a person steps in | Problem reports arrive with the parcel record attached. | Handling time on delivery problems. |
| Out of hours, every channel | Delivery days are exactly when a call centre is closed. | Contacts outside centre hours on delivery days. |
| Fewer errors and rework | A reschedule runs exactly as confirmed, once; status comes from the tracking system. | Duplicate or mistaken reschedules. |
| Revenue kept | A reschedule or pickup-point choice is offered in the same reply as a missed-delivery notice. | Repeat delivery attempts per parcel. |
Work out your own number
- Count where-is-it and reschedule contacts for four weeks, split by time of day.
- Cost per contact = centre hours × loaded hourly cost ÷ contacts handled.
- Value = those contacts answered without a person × cost per contact, plus the cost of a repeat delivery attempt multiplied by the attempts a confirmed reschedule avoids. Both inputs are yours.
